Web Responsibilities

Within the numerous organizations I have worked with, I have held multiple responsibilities revolving around social and multimedia.

SBC

I recently held a post-grad internship position with SBC Advertising where I acted as the Special Projects Coordinator within the public relations department of the agency. While at SBC I was responsible for various client projects such as social media development and management, where I drafted posts, created images and scheduled messages for client’s social outlets. I was also responsible for local and national media outreach, as well as industry research and reporting for current and prospective clients.

I held a full time position with The Limited Brands’ La Senza corporation as La Senza’s International Coordinator. Along with communicating with La Senza’s international counterparts, I also continually created new product copy and uploading it to our company’s website.

I was a social media intern for the Ohio University Division of Student Affairs during my senior year of college (2011-’12). On a student team of six students, we were the founding team of interns that aided in increasing the visibility of the DOSA office and officials through our utilization of a combination of social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Flickr. We also maintained a blog for the division, attended and provided coverage for local events, and created multimedia content for miscellaneous projects.

In my Online Journalism Practice course (taken Spring Quarter ’12) I was a part of the class’s Social Media Team. In this three person team, we were responsible for upholding the Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest accounts for the website created by our class and spreading the word of our efforts to the student body.

As an digital media intern at 10TV News/ WBNS  in the summer of 2010, I held responsibilities editing and uploading live video and transitioning it from the television aired program to their website. I was also responsible for tracking the station’s social media standings and attempting to reach out to a larger audience with social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook.

During the two years I was Section Editor for the Campus Buzz section of Ohio University’s online magazine, Speakeasy, I was responsible for editing my section writer’s article and uploading those stories to the WordPress website. While I was section editor I also utilized multiple social media outlets to post our site content as a way to draw a larger audience to the site.

I held the position of Webmaster for my sorority’s philanthropy events during the 2011-’12 school year. In this position I was responsible for promoting Ohio University’s Alpha Xi Delta efforts and maintaining the interest of local participants through social media sites. I consistently shared important information about events to participants and got participants excited about our efforts through our social media pages.
